1. Who we are

Coparenta is operated by:

2. What Coparenta is

Coparenta is an app for coordinating child custody and daily life between separated or divorced parents. It gives you:

• A custody schedule and shared calendar
• Swap requests and handover checklists
• Shared expenses, photo receipts and settlements
• Messaging between the two parents
• The child's journal — notes and photos
• Reports and, optionally, a weekly AI summary of the journal (with your consent — see the Privacy Policy)

3. Your account

• You can create an account if you are at least 18, as a parent or as a person invited with view-only access (typically a grandparent, invited by a parent for read-only access to the schedule).
• Authentication is passwordless, via a code sent to your email address — your email address is the only factor protecting your account, so you're responsible for keeping access to it.
• A shared space (family) has two parents. Children do NOT have their own account — the child's profile is entered and managed by parents, as legal representatives.
• The data you enter (about yourself or the child) must be accurate, to the best of your knowledge.

4. Conduct and user-generated content — zero tolerance policy

What you post in Coparenta — messages, journal notes, photos, documents — is visible to the other parent or to people in your shared space. By using the app, you agree NOT to post or transmit:

• Harassment, threats or intimidation directed at another person
• Hate speech or discriminatory language
• Sexually explicit content, or any content that exploits or endangers a minor
• Violent content or content that incites violence
• Content that is illegal in Romania or the EU
• Impersonation of another person
• Spam, phishing, or links to malicious content

Coparenta enforces a zero tolerance policy toward abusive content and toward users who violate these rules. A confirmed report can lead to immediate account suspension or termination (section 6), without notice in serious cases.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. Coparenta does not editorialize conversations or journal entries, but may act on reports submitted by users (section 5).

5. Reporting and moderation

• You can report a message or a conversation directly from the app, whenever you believe the other user has violated these terms.
• You can put your conversation with the other parent into silent mode at any time — you will stop receiving messages or notifications from that account, without notifying them.
• We review reports we receive and may act under section 6, including suspending the reported account.
• For urgent reports, or reports involving a child's safety, email us directly at contact@coparenta.ro.

6. Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms — in particular the zero tolerance policy in section 4 — including without notice in serious cases (for example, content that endangers a child).

You can close your own account at any time. The exact steps and what happens to your data (including your child's) are described on the account deletion page.

7. Your data

How we collect, use and protect your data and your child's data — including what happens with the AI-based features — is described in full in the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.

8. Ownership of your content

You keep all rights to the content you upload (photos, journal notes, documents). By using the app, you grant Coparenta a limited license, strictly necessary to store that content and display it to the other parent (or to people with access to your shared space), for as long as your account is active.

9. Pricing and subscription

Coparenta is free during the launch period. At a later date, we intend to introduce a subscription per family, paid by only one parent; the invited parent never pays. We will notify you by email and in the app at least 30 days before the subscription becomes required. Subscription takes place only through your explicit action, in the App Store or on Google Play. If you choose not to subscribe, we will not delete anything you have created.

10. Limitation of liability

• The service is provided "as is", without a guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free availability.
• Coparenta is a coordination tool — decisions about custody, expenses, or any other legal matter remain the sole responsibility of the parents and, where applicable, the competent courts. The app does not provide and does not replace legal advice.
• To the extent permitted by law, our liability for indirect or incidental damages arising from use of the app is excluded.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you are a consumer in an EU member state, you continue to benefit from the mandatory consumer protections applicable in your country of residence. Any dispute is subject to the competent courts of Romania.

12. Changes to these terms

We will announce significant changes by email and via in-app notification. The current version is marked with the date above.

Version history: July 28, 2026 — first public version · September 18, 2026 — the operator becomes COPARENTA S.R.L. (formerly PACSUNA CARTIE S.R.L.), replacing the app's founder; added section 9 (Pricing and subscription), and the following sections are renumbered.
